TX DIR Contract
What It Is:
The TX DIR business operations division of the State of Texas assists state agencies and political subdivisions in finding the most cost-effective information resources by negotiating, managing and administering contracts with CISV information technology providers. Eligible customers are all governmental entities located in Texas, including state agencies and universities, as well as all political subdivisions, such as cities, counties and public schools. By pooling the State's purchasing power, the cooperative contract program has created substantial pricing discounts, which Texas public entities may be unable to achieve individually.

The services associated with this contract include installation, maintenance and training for Panasonic laptop computers and all related peripheral products. The PCS Southern Regional Office located in Houston is the main contact for the TX DIR contract.

Under the current contract, PCS offers competitive pricing on Panasonic laptops and all related peripheral products. This also includes Intemec handheld devices, and Xplore ruggedized laptops and tablets. PCS provides related peripheral products manufactured by Gamber-Johnson and LEDCO. The contract includes services, including consulting, maintenance and customer support.
